The Federal Skilled Trades Program is an immigration program that allows trade workers with qualified work experience in one of the skilled trade professions obtain permanent residency of Canada.
The Federal Skilled Trades (FST) program is one of the three federal immigration programs managed by the Express Entry system.
That means the candidate must creat a profile within the Express Entry system.
However, before creating your profile, you must first:
have a
• valid job offer of full-time employment in Canada for a total period of at least 1 year 
or
• a certificate of qualification in your skilled trade profession issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal authority
You also need to meet below requirements as well:
• The candidate must have a proof of language proficiency of minimum Canadian Language Benchmark 5 for speaking and listening, and Canadian Language Benchmark 4 for reading and writing. 
• have at least 2 years of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in a skilled trade within the 5 years before you apply
• There is no education requirement for the Federal Skilled Trades Program. But, to increase your total score in the Express Entry system which is very competative, you need to take one of the below options:
◦ Obtain a Canada certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian secondary institution (high school) or post-secondary institution or
◦ If you already have academic education in your trade profession, obtain a an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from a designated organization showing that your education is equal to a completed certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian secondary institution (high school) or post-secondary institution

Skilled trades who have professions in any of below groups of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) could apply under this program for permanent residency of Canada:
• Major Group 72, industrial, electrical and construction trades
• Major Group 73, maintenance and equipment operation trades
• Major Group 82, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production
• Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators
• Minor Group 632, chefs and cooks
• Minor Group 633, butchers and bakers

The scores of the selected profiles in express entry under this program was between 400 to 436 in 2020.
The last express entry draw which was on August 06, 2020, a total of 250 invitation issued to candidates in federal skilled trade program and the lowest score of the invited applicants was 415.
